6 things to do the week of your wedding

It is just coming into wedding season here in New Zealand so thought I would share some tips I have picked up over the years to not only get the best from your wedding photography but also just help you be relaxed and feeling awesome on your day! Hopefully by the time you get to the week before your wedding, most of your to-do list has all been checked off. It’s time to relax, be excited and have fun with friends and family in the build up to the day! There are still a couple things you will want to do to make sure you are prepared and feeling fresh on the morning of your day, and if any surprises happen (because let’s be honest every wedding day has at least 1 little surprise) you are totally ready to roll with it! So here are my must do’s for the week leading up to your wedding.

Ricky & Melissa are self proclaimed geeks and are particularly fond of the Lord of the Rings, so when they decided to get married it was a no brainer to have their wedding in Middle Earth, aka Queenstown, New Zealand. Their dream was to have a wedding surrounded by snow capped mountains in a place where hobbits would have felt at home, and Queenstown did not disappoint on the day! The Remarkable mountain range was used as the Misty Mountains when the Lord of the Rings was filmed and they sure lived up to their name of both Remarkable and Misty on this cold wintery day in August.
